The penannular brooch is beautifully worked - there's no irregularities on the metal, its polished to near perfection! The pin in particular is just sharp and thin enough to pass through most fabrics I've tried it with without damaging the fabric at all, but not so sharp as to prick yourself on. Quite the balance to strike! The only issue I've encountered is that the part of the pin wrapping around the rest of the brooch might not be tight enough, as the entire pin slides off the flattened ends of the brooch, like some metal wire puzzles do. Overall a fantastic piece of kit that I'll be using and treasuring for years to come!
