A striking Viking age bossed disk brooch with intricate zoomorphic engravings resembling the Trewhiddle style, originally discovered in Galloway, Scotland.
Hand made in Nickle Silver, blackened in the recesses to make the engraving pop, and polished to a bright shine. The brooch is 67mm wide, 1mm thick, and secured with a hinged pin.
Please note nickel silver is an alloy of copper and nickel, and contains no action silver. Nickel can cause a reaction in some people which is contact with skin for prolonged periods.
